When did the 3 Degrees start coding for Sony? No wonder they haven't released a new album in ages, and have I been waiting for a new album!?!

I thought it was common knowledge that 3d Tv's dont need to wear glasses. Who ever heard of such a thing ;)

A "3D TV" that doesn't need people to ware glasses http://www.markstechnologynews.com/2008/05/phillips-presents-3d-tv-without-glasses.html

There are companies developing 3D tvs that don't require glasses, but there's a bit of a looming tech war surrounding the whole development, with around 4-5 different companies in the process of developing different 3D tech. All of them will probably be quite expensive, which is why I feel 3D will remain a luxury or novelty item for the rich.

As name said, many people have just bought HD TVs and are unlikely to want to spend the same kind of money again on an unproven and not widely supported technology.

I have to agree with the first guy in a way, 3D is old, very old. I think the first time it was done was in the 50's or something. That's not to say it can't be picked up and used better this time arond, though I can't see my mum and dad (or even my gran) swapping thier "TV glasses" for a pair of floppy paper coloured see-thru ones any time soon.

Find a way of doing it without glasses however, and your on to a winner!

3D is the way of the future ONLY if you dont need a new TV to support the tech.
if you need to buy a new TV its going to be a massive flop because most people, like me just spent big bucks on a brand new HD TV.
me i just spent 3K on a 50 inch LCD sony bravia about 8 months ago, i wont be buying a new tv for at least 5 years.
if they somehow manage to get the accsessories like bluray players, camcorders, PS3s and the such to do all the work and you dont need a new TV than im all for it.
otherwise it wont last long because no one has the cash to blow on a new TV every 3 years or so.
3D now, holographs next time.
you cant expect people to buy a new TV every time a new piece of tech comes out.

old?
name 1 game that supports 3D, disregarding the new tech Nvidia released and that one game sony released onto the PSN.
to say its old is incredibly ignorant, stupid and shows you know nothing on the matter, because 3D TVs are not even out yet.
and are not due out till late next year.

3D will be an option for games in the future. People can still play teh games as they do now, but 3D does a lot for games! It's really immersive in a third person game!

Of course there will still be games with simple 2D artstyles. But even they can function with some minimal 3D depth to enhance the experience with middleground, foreground and background and when there are special FX.

Hasn't there already been a game that supports 3D on the PS3? Though it can't be viewed because the PS3 doesn't support 3D yet...

3D gaming is not the future, it is old. I like it on single player, but it's not so great on multiplayer. Games with simple art styles work best with it from the ones I have played.
