PS3 Mortal Kombat demo unleashed on March 8

Good news for fans of dismemberment, spine ripping and ladies with sharp fangs – a demo of Mortal Kombat will fight its way onto PSN on March 8 for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Everyone else gets to sample the fatality pie later in the month on March 15.

The demo will feature Scorpion, Mileena, Sub Zero and Johnny Cage, battling it out in two of the game’s arenas: The Living Forest and The Pit. It allows up to two players to have a scrap on the game’s arcade ladder.

It has been confirmed that an Xbox 360 demo will be coming later in the month, but no dates have been mentioned yet.

Mortal Kombat will be returning to its 2D fighting plane roots when the game is released on April 21 for Xbox 360 and PS3.
