Mass Effect 3 expansion Leviathan announced

EA have today officially announced a new DLC pack for Mass Effect 3 called Leviathan. This new slice of downloadable content was originally revealed through leaked files that were found in the Extended Cut expansion that was released at the end of June. These files hinted that the story would follow a search for a rogue Reaper called Leviathan, who has his own agenda from the other Reapers, and has indoctrinated a mining colony.

EA have said about the expansion that “Players will be able to discover more about the origins of the Reapers as they race across the galaxy to unravel the mystery that surrounds the fabled Leviathan.” The new content will see the player once again playing as Commander Shepard, and will feature a new selection of planets to visit. With the ending of Mass Effect 3 being so controversial, and fans crying out for more closure, perhaps this latest content will finally satisfy the rabid fanbase, who have been so damning of the end of the much lauded trilogy. The new pack will be out this summer for Xbox 360 and PS3.

I've been addicted to gaming since my parents bought an Atari console way back in the 70's. I progressed to the iconic Speccy, Amiga, and all the Playstation platforms. Having seen games evolve from single pixel bat and ball, to HD constructed environments, gaming has changed much from my early years. Having defeated the rock hard R-Type on the Speccy, the biggest challenge I've faced so far is putting up with the hordes of American teens spouting abuse in the current generation of consoles, noob indeed!
