FE4R? FEARO? FEAR Online Beta announced

A surprisingly normal name for an online version of a series that delved into the depths of irritating and unconventional naming with F.3.A.R.. It is now returning again as the Free-to-play F.E.A.R. Online, but the catch is, much like F.3.A.R., that it isn’t developed by Monolith Productions. It is also not developed by either of the other two studios attached to the F.E.A.R. franchise, instead, Inplay Interactive is behind the project.

While they are the developers and have been for some time, it seems that in bringing it over to the western market via Aeria Games has been behind a little rebranding. If it is indeed the same game that Inplay were working on prior to this announcement then F.E.A.R. Origins Online and F.E.A.R. Online are one and the same. It means you can check out a few older builds of the game, if you want to put together some idea of how the game is coming along.

Alternatively you could sign up for the beta on the official site. How it’ll turn out in the end is anyone’s guess but try to keep hopes high, it won’t set you back any money to try it.

I enjoy playing games and I enjoy writing things, so I decided to combine the two. I do bits here and there and have a twitter that mainly just announces things I’ve done as my life revolves around very little that is truly interesting.
