New Wii U bundles announced

Nintendo have announced three new Wii U bundles which will be released in Europe just in time for Christmas.

The first bundle is the Mario & Luigi Premium Pack, which offers New Super Mario Bros U & New Super Luigi U with the Premium Wii U console, which has 32gb of storage and the black GamePad. Expect to see this bundle appear on shop shelves on 8th November.

The second bundle is the Wii Party U Basic Pack, which contains Wii Party U and Nintendoland, along with the white console which packs 8gb of storage and a Wii Remote Plus. This family-friendly pack will be available a week later on 15th November.

The third bundle is called the Just Dance 2014 Basic Pack, which obviously comes with Just Dance 2014, and Nintendoland; and also the white 8gb console, white GamePad and Wii Remote Plus. This final pack will be available on 22nd November.

Each of these bundles is expected to retail for £249.99, which is significantly cheaper than either of Sony and Microsoft’s next gen offerings. Nintendo will be looking to convince parents that these family-friendly bundles will offer them more this Christmas than the pricier PS4 or Xbox One.

I’ve been addicted to gaming since my parents bought an Atari console way back in the 70’s. I progressed to the iconic Speccy, Amiga, and all the Playstation platforms. Having seen games evolve from single pixel bat and ball, to HD constructed environments, gaming has changed much from my early years. Having defeated the rock hard R-Type on the Speccy, the biggest challenge I’ve faced so far is putting up with the hordes of American teens spouting abuse in the current generation of consoles, noob indeed!
