Look. The world might be turning into a living nightmare but that still doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy imaginary nightmares. So in a weird turn of events we can now turn to horror games to see a nicer version of the world we live in. Isn’t that nice. And if you’re a PS4 owner, then you’re in luck, as it’s only a week (Nov 22nd) to go until the Amnesia Collection releases for PS4.
It contains all three Amnesia goodies; Amnesia: The Dark Descent, its DLC Justine, and Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. Amnesia: The Dark Descent is sort of a herald for the resurgence of horror games, and did it through making the player fragile rather than adding more action and combat (like many other horror series). The Chinese Room took the helm on A Machine for Pigs and while we didn’t think it matched its predecessor, it was still good at doing its own thing. Both are good in their own right (we don’t know about the DLC) and hopefully they have been given the attention they deserve in this PS4 port.
