Thimbleweed Park is coming to Switch!

We *checks notes* really liked *checks notes again* Thimblewood Thimbleweed Park the hottest new point and click adventure game developed by Terrible Toybox. Terrible Toybox is headed up by one of the creators of Monkey Island! No not the one that knows Jack Black! The other one! No not the one that shares a name with an author who specialises in the psychology of killing! The other one! The one that did Deathspank; Ron Gilbert!

Anyway…

Thimbleweed Park is coming to the Switch on the 21st of September. It’ll even have its own special features, which are pretty much exactly what you’d expect from a Switch port. Tabletop, handheld and TV modes are all supported and it makes use of both the Joy-Cons and touchscreen controls, so you have the option of stabbing the screen with your greasy paws, which is not a bad thing at all.

It’s also worth noting that there have been some updates to the game since we last spoke of it; including the opening of the Arcade (hard mode only), an in-game hint line, and conversations between the player characters. The conversations between characters is especially interesting and cool because it was a feature that the fans suggested and the developers decided it was cool enough to bring the voice actors back for it . There’s also an option to turn the in-jokes on now, so the references that we found so grating have to actively be turned on to annoy you now; so there’s no-one to blame but yourself if you get sick of them.

It’ll be out for a cool $19.99 or “equivalent in your local currency” which we estimate as £1,000,000 considering the strength of the pound these days.
