Bus Simulator 18 out now, mofos

E3 is almost over, and if you want to read about that… well, you’ve already been reading all about it elsewhere, haven’t you? It’s easy to forget in all the hubbub that the latest Bus Simulator is here, but we haven’t forgotten! No way, ladies and gentlemen. Why spend all your time pining after games that you can’t play for months or years, when you could play Bus Simulator 18 right now??

The game is released on Steam at 5pm GMT today (so mere minutes after this post goes live). You may have detected a hint of sarcasm in our tone, and you’d be right. But you know what? This actually looks kind of cool! Needless to say, this is a title that will appeal the most to those of you looking for a piece of software that simulates the driving of a bus. Maybe this could make a convert of you. The graphics in the above trailer look neat, there’s varying time and weather, and four player multiplayer. There are also “various in-bus events”. The example given in the trailer is a passenger listening to very loud music. You can stop the bus, and go tell him to turn it the hell down. Why has nobody thought of this before?

You can customise the buses, properly pimping them out with colours and decals! This is awesome. Speaking of customisation, Bus Simulator 18 launches with full mod support. This will allow you to create new bus modding options, in-game adverts, and even – if you have the time and the inclination – whole new cities. We were ready to do a jokey sarky writeup, but actually, this makes us wish we had a gaming PC more than any other game has for a very long time…
