Bioshock Infinite trailer introduces Boys of Silence

Following on from Irrational Game’s Handyman heavy hitter video is another trailer that sheds some light on the next set of mini-boss baddies in BioShock Infinite’s world, the Boys of Silence.

Looking like a man wearing a brass helmet with trumpets for ears, the Boys of Silence are completely blind but can detect the player by sound. There’s no information about what harm the terrifying noise detectors can inflict personally, but when enraged they can call for backup to throw at you.

“The way they work is that they’re blind, they can’t see you, but they can hear you” explains lead artist Shawn Robertson. “The levels that you see them in, you have to make a decision on whether you are going to sneak around them or engage them directly.”

Look out for BioShock Infinite on October 19 when it launches on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
