This years host is the hilarious Frankie Boyle, who you may have seen on BBC’s Mock the Week. He’ll no doubt be reinforcing the shows family friendly values with some jokes about paedos.

Games in the running for the top awards this year include Fallout 3 and Left 4 Dead, we’ll be watching eagerly to see which games and developers come away with the prizes. You’ll be able to follow coverage of the event from our live feed.
