Mars development put on hold; new project this year

Development of upcoming PS3, Xbox 360 and PC action RPG Mars has been put on hold. Jehanne Rousseau of French developer Spiders told Critical Gamer:

“The past year has been just horrible on the financial aspect, and we had to pause Mars development to concentrate on activities to earn some cash… we still hope to find a publisher later in the year, but of course it will delay the dev”.

Yet another developer suffering from the effects of the recession it would seem, sadly. On a brighter note, Rousseau added that they are working on “a smaller project” due to be released as a download for Xbox Live, PSN, and PC some time this year.

Speculation is rife in the CG offices on whether or not this is the oft – rumoured Galaxy, Milky Way, or possibly even Twix game.
