Square Enix London announced an astounding, action packed demo for the highly anticipated sandbox action game, Just Cause 2. The demo is set to free fall on March 4, 2010 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
If your unfamiliar with the newest iteration in this franchise, here’s a brief overview. You play as Rico Rodriquez, and you’re sent to the island of Panau by “the Agency” to track down and find your former boss and mentor, Tom Sheldon, who has gone rogue with millions of the Agency’s cash and intel. Did i mention you will have to fight through the islands corrupt leader and its military force?
JC2 offers players the freedom to attack missions any way they want with countless upgrades and hundreds of vehicles, while utilizing a unique grapple and parachute mechanic.
The demo will feature 35 square miles of Lautan Lama Desert- a massive expanse of impressive sun scorched landscape. It is one of the many, many islands of the Panau archipelago which is a whopping 400 square miles in Just Cause 2.
The demo will feature a heck of a lot for the gamer to gun through. It will have you destroying government infrastructures, military bases and vehicles of all kinds as well as the personnel that comes with them. You will be able to try your hand at assassinating one of the games 50 military colonel’s and unlock one full multi-stage mission that goes through the mountains to a heavily fortified radar station while ending with a extraordinary desert car chase.
