Via PC Gamer revealing the news; we now have a solid yes on a PC version of Ninja Theory’s new game. So now we know that it’ll be released on both PS4 and PC but one of the reasons they give for a PC version is the opportunity to maybe do a Beta – or at least get it playtested – and that the PC version will offer more opportunities, like making it in 4K (possibly).
One time Dante lookalike and Studio Creative Chief Tameem Antoniades mentions “If we want to do an open beta right now…”, followed by “Playtesting is a huge thing for us” and ending with “As an independant we have the freedom to do that”. So fractured quotes we’ve taken that mean nothing solid but the gist is that perhaps a Beta for Hellblade will be available at some point in the future, as they are at least contemplating it. He also mentions possible mod support and there are likely other details that are in the new PC Gamer mag which comes out tomorrow, so perhaps something else worth mentioning will appear.
Ninja Theory’s Devil May Cry reboot was polarizing for many, many reasons but we loved it. And we liked Enslaved a little less, but still liked it. Both of which are available on PC and both versions seem pretty decent so it can only be a good thing for Hellblade.
