Hudson Unintentionally Reveals Bonk, New Bomberman, Rooms

A NeoGaf forum poster discovered some unannounced Hudson titles on their website yesterday. Forum poster VideoMan was poking around when he discovered product pages for Bonk: Brink of Extinction, Bomberman Live: Battlefest, and Rooms: The Main Building.

Bonk - Brink of Extinction

Bonk: Brink of Extinction is a new 2.5D (3D graphics with 2D gameplay) platformer slated for a Spring 2010 release on Xbox Live Arcade, Playstation Network, and Wiiware. The game will feature an all new adventure that can be played with one or two players. New features include the ability to transform into 8 different forms, play online, and face off against a variety of new enemies. Apparently one of the new baddies is a “Raptor Unicycle Tank” which sounds both awkward and terrifying.

Bomberman Live BattleFest

Bomberman Live: Battlefest is a sequel to the popular XBLA title, Bomberman Live. The game will be available on XBLA with Avatar support this winter, with PSN and Wiiware versions arriving sometime in 2010. It has the same basic look and style, but includes several new features like 4 new team games, 5 new power-ups, 18 new costumes, and new arenas including one based on Adventure Island.

The page for the game, which has since been removed, detailed the various new team-based modes. VIP leaves one of your teammates defenceless, and you must escort them to a designated spot in the arena. Capture the Flag plays exactly like your typical CTF mode, but set in the Bomberman world. Capture the Crown tasks players with holding on to a crown for as long as possible. Lastly, Bankroll turns Bomberman into a round-based game with an economy for buying power-ups between rounds, a-la CounterStrike.

Rooms - The Main Building

The third unannounced game is Rooms: The Main Building, which appears to be a Wii and DS version of the PC/MAC indie game by HandMade Game. It’s a puzzle game with adventure elements designed to make use of the Wii and DS’s unique controls. Rooms boasts over 100 levels and a two-player mode for the Wii version.
