Modern Warfare 2 classified as 18 by BBFC

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been classified as an 18 certificate by the British Board of Film Classification. It becomes the first game in the series to be awarded an 18, with previous entries including last years World at War only receiving a 15.

Considering World at War had you melting the flesh from Japanese soldiers with a flame-thrower and stabbing dogs in the face with bayonets, we wonder what exactly occurs in Modern Warfare 2 to have warranted the certification.

Modern Warfare 2 is out November 10th on PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii (like you didn’t already know that). Previous reports of a delay to the PC version are still unconfirmed.

That’s intersting news… but will it get rid of the annoying American kids online? Doubt it. :)
