Sony’s video delivery service launches in Europe

You can now log onto Sony’s VDS via the PSN, boasting a film catalogue mainly featuring blockbusters from this year and last. Films to rent cost around £2 or if you’d prefer to buy them it’ll cost around £8 and you can grab them in either SD or HD. The service is available for both PS3 and PSP.

Films available for the launch include Star Trek, Transformers 2 and Terminator Salvation, with Sony promising in the region of 50 new movies added on a weekly basis. You can view the promo for the new service above to find out more details.
