Back to Karkand release date lands

Ready to return to the haunts of Battlefield 2 and kick up the dust as you collapse a city’s worth of buildings? Back to Karkand for Battlefield 3 is officially released December 6 on PS3 and December 13 on Xbox 360 and PC.

The eagerly anticipated expansion adds the Strike at Karkand, Gulf of Oman, Wake Island and Sharqi Peninsula maps to the game as well as three vehicles and ten additional weapons. It also reintroduces the Conquest Assault game mode.

Owners of the Limited Edition version of the game will get this DLC free of charge, whereas those with regular copies will need to pay 1200 Microsoft Points or $15 (around £10) to gain access to the new content.

As well as the exclusive week early release of Back to Karkand, PS3 Battlefield 3 owners can also download a free copy of Battlefield 1943 from the PlayStation Store.
