Beyond Black Mesa: full short released

It’s taken two hard-working years, but the small team of ridiculously dedicated film-makers has completed a project to be proud of: Beyond Black Mesa. This short film, inspired by the world of the Half-Life series, is an original story full of dynamic fight scenes, fancy special effects, and horribly irate mutants. The miniature movie follows Adrian Shephard (whom you might remember from 1999’s Half-Life expansion Opposing Forces) as he and his rebel friends work together and try not to die. The whole thing only lasts twelve minutes, but it’s one heck of a twelve minutes.

A tight budget ruled out any headcrab sightings, but we can promise you at least one strategic, violent use of a crowbar. For more information on this independent film, take a look at our interview with project leader Brian Curtin or head on over to Beyond Black Mesa’s official website.
