Assassin’s Creed III launch trailer lands

Ubisoft has sent over the launch trailer for Assassin’s Creed III and it does a nice job to prepare you for a new kind of Assassin’s Creed game. In fact, we only counted a total of three scaled rooftops in the trailer, which is significantly fewer than what we’re used to.

Instead we get a mix of treetops, boats, open battlegrounds and even a bear. There’s plenty of wholesome stabbing too, the series doesn’t seem to be going light on that.

It’s all building towards the game’s exciting release next week on October 31 for PS3 and Xbox 360. The Assassin’s Creed III PR train is running at full pelt now, with loads of little news snippets appearing over the last week, including the appearance of this rather mysterious screenshot…
