Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole screenshots revealed

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has unveiled Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, and Critical Gamer has the first screenshots. This new game is based on the bestselling book series by author Kathryn Lasky, and the upcoming Zack Snyder directed family fantasy film, due for release in September.

The obligatory ice level...

The game looks to be an action flight game set in an epic fantasy world, with players taking on the role of Shard, who is on a secret mission to reveal the truth about the evil Pure Ones sinister plans, and their threat to the owl kingdoms, in this epic fantasy game.

...and lava level!

As the Guardian, Shard, players take the fight against evil to the air, armed with battle claws and aided by trustworthy allies. Travelling through the owl kingdoms, fans will have a chance to experience the unique history and lands of Ga’Hoole in the heat of battle, as you aim to stop the Pure Ones before it is too late.

Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole will be released on Xbox 360, Wii, PS3 and DS.

This reminds us of Lord of the Rings, when Gandalf escapes on the giant bird.

I’ve been addicted to gaming since my parents bought an Atari console way back in the 70’s. I progressed to the iconic Speccy, Amiga, and all the Playstation platforms. Having seen games evolve from single pixel bat and ball, to HD constructed environments, gaming has changed much from my early years. Having defeated the rock hard R-Type on the Speccy, the biggest challenge I’ve faced so far is putting up with the hordes of American teens spouting abuse in the current generation of consoles, noob indeed!
